A business jet reported an on-board emergency while about to land at Mineta San Jose International Airport this morning but landed safely and did not need assistance, an airport spokeswoman said.

The pilot of the Cessna Citation, a jet that holds between five and 12 passengers, reported an unspecified on-board emergency just before landing, airport spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes said.

Firefighters and emergency crews staged where the jet was expected to land but it landed safely just before 11:30 a.m. and did not require assistance, Barnes said.
