Husband and wife team Richard and Candice Dixon have spent most of their lives growing grapes wherever they’ve lived in California, and in 2007 they realized a dream by opening Les Chênes (“The Oaks”) Estate Vineyards. They bought the beautiful parcel of Livermore Valley land in 1999, and contracted with Wente Vineyards to plant vineyards. Their hard work paid off when they were named “Best New Winery of the East Bay” by Diablo Magazine the year they opened. They specialize in Rhone style and Rhone inspired wines.
Wines: Syrah, Zinfandel, Viognier, Grenache Noir, Mourvedre, Roussanne, and blends.
Tasting Room: Saturday and Sunday, 12-4:30 p.m., and by appointment.
