Las Positas Vineyards is a newer player in the Livermore Valley. Couple Lisa and Lothar Maier purchased the property in 2006, pulled out the old vines and replanted for a fresh start. Las Positas is “dedicated to the marriage of Old World craftsmanship and New World pioneer spirit in the production of world class wine.” The vineyard currently produces small lots of handcrafted wines that reflect the excellent soil and vines. The winery hosts numerous special events throughout the year, and is available for weddings and other events.
Wines: Rosé, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, among others.
Tasting Room: Friday-Sunday, 12-5 p.m.
The tasting room has breathtaking views of the vineyards and valley.
